Mountains Ranges of Kaghan Valley
Snooty peaks crown the mountains ranges on either side like towers,
ranging in height from 12,000 to 17,000 feet and more, with the eastern series
higher than the western. The bed of valley slants up from 3,000 feet at
Balakot, which, as it were, the entryway of the valley, to 12,000 feet at
Gittidas beyond which the valley crosses at Babusar Pass 14,000 feet.

Kaghan Valley Tour to Naran & Lake Saif-ul-Malook
Lying in lower Himalayan mountains series, the Kaghan valley, famed for
its bewitching magnificence and natural splendor, is one of the most
charming tourist resorts in beautiful Hazara division. At a distance of
64 kilometer from Balakot, it offers resplendent beauty surrounded by
glorious mountains, magical glaciers, enchanting waterfalls and sweet
lakes with plenty of flora and fauna. The valley is about 160 km long
and between 1,000 to 4,000 meter above sea level at different places.
Piercing Kunhar river with its icy water flows through the picturesque
valley. The river water carries with it the delicious trout fish, famous
for its rich taste being the most wanted after food item for visitors
and tourists.

The Kaghan Valley - Pakistan
The Kaghan Valley وادی کاغان is a valley in the north east of Mansehra
District of the Khyberpakhtunkhwa (Province
of Pakistan ). It magnetizes
many sightseers from around the world. The populaces were affected by the
earthquake disaster on 08 October 2005.

The Kaghan valley is named after the town of Kaghan slightly than for the Kunhar River
which flows through the length of the valley. The valley extends 155 kilometer,
mounting from an elevation of 2,134 feet (650 meter) to its highest point, the Babusar Pass , at 13,690 feet (4,170 m). Popular
languages are Hindko and Gojri, while Urdu ,
Pakistan 's
national language is also familiar among the locals. The region is Alpine in
geography and climate, with forests and meadows dominating the landscape below
peaks that reach over 17,000 feet.

The road from Tehsil “Balakot” leads along the Kunhar River through beautiful forests and the villages of Paras, Shinu, Jared and Mahandri. The valley narrows along this part and the views are intimate panorama until ascending the pass when the surrounding peaks come into expansive view. One locale bounded by peaks and forests and well-known for its view is Shogran village, east of the main Kunhar River. The scenic Malika Parbat and Payee Lake, Siri Payee, and Makra Peaks are nearby.
